Messiah Lutheran Church

305 W Magnetic St • Marquette, Michigan

This public event is sponsored by the Northern Great Lakes Water Stewards, an interfaith environmental initiative to protect, preserve and sanctify the waters and lakes of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

This four-year interfaith effort, in partnership with The Cedar Tree Institute, is coordinated by volunteers from a coalition of faith traditions including members of Lutheran, Episcopal, Jewish, United Methodist & Buddhist communities.

In recognition of Arbor Day, April 28, donations will be invited and volunteers recruited to help plant 500 Northern white cedar trees along streams in the Community Forest of the Yellow Dog Watershed Preserve.
